A STEWARDSHIP FROM SEED TO SEED
Returning a seed to circulation and soil without selling it.
A seed kept in one Oba can meet a grower in another when the applicable conditions are verified. The return is not money but another traceable local seed, and both sides add what they learn from the next planting to the same record.
Production, materials and conditions
“Heirloom seed” is used here as everyday language; the regulatory term is “local variety.” A real record would separately capture species and variety name, region of origin, growing and harvest year, source, multiplication conditions, possible cross-pollination, storage, germination observation and plant-health information from the grower. It will not be described as organic, certified or disease-free without verification.
Capacity and preparation
The 2019 Local Varieties Regulation exempts seed production up to personal need and seed exchange between natural persons from Ministry permission only within the region of origin. For that reason, no match opens until identity, origin region, quantity and current plant-health duties are verified; movement outside the region of origin requires separate review.
EXCHANGE MODEL · NOT A SALE
Seed-for-seed exchange only within the Oba network
This is not a purchase; no TRY, BenAkçe, BenGram or payment is used. An inter-Oba match appears as an exchange record only after the natural persons involved and the region-of-origin condition are verified.
- Region of origin and grower identity are verified.
- Quantity remains limited to the natural person’s need.
- Both exchanged seed lots retain separate trace records.

Information shared for trust
The profile name is representative; the real person’s name is not published. This record does not claim that all heirloom-seed exchange is freely permitted and is not legal advice. There is no money, price or payment. The initial model is limited to verified seed-for-seed exchange; exchange for another product will not open before separate legal review.
What must be verified before this becomes a real record
- Identity and authority
- Product / production scope
- Production conditions
- Economic boundaries
- Capacity and delivery
- Responsibility and objection
Linked example storefront
A real storefront would bring regional growers, bakers, aromatic-plant producers, seed stewards and supporting experts together without dissolving them into one company identity. Every record keeps its own responsible party and transaction boundary.
